Windows 2003 AD migration and time servers.

HI Guys,

We are migrating Windows Server 2003 to Windows server 2012 R2 active directory.
Our application servers are using current windows server 2003 pdc as time server.
When i move FSMO to new server 2012 R2, Do i need to check application time servers to new server, or old DC still works as time server ?

Regards

yes, you need to set Windows 2012r2 DC as time server after moving the PDC role to the server.

Please refer this article for setting up NTP on the 2012r2 server.

You should not have to change anything on any machines except the new 2012 R2 DC. It will need to be configured to synchronize with an external host, since it will become the new authoritative time server for the domain. Everything else in the domain should already be configured to get time by using the domain hierarchy. The Windows Time service on those machines will automatically determine that the new server now has the PDC Emulator role; no configuration is required for this to happen.
