setting the id tag of an iframe using jquery

On my html page I have a iframe. The tag for it is like this. It does not have an id tag.

<iframe style="width: 500px; height: 300px;" src="ContentPage.html"></iframe>

I want to set the id tag of the iframe.

Right now I'm using jquery to set the id tag of my iframe like this:

        // **** set id on iframe ****
            function (index, elem) {
                elem.setAttribute("id", "iframe1");
        // **** set id on iframe ****

This works.

But I was wondering if there is better way , using jQuery to set the id of my iframe to "iframe1"?

If you have only one Iframe element in the page than you can use below as well.

$("iframe")[0].setAttribute("id", "iframe1");
