I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Exact same problem i have had for a user.

I pointed them to the script summarised in the post:

save it as .ps1 and run it
be sure you save the groups inside csv

$groupnames =(get-conetent \\ip\shared\groupfile.csv) #  read group name
   ForEach ($groupname in $groupnames)
    Remove-ADGroup -identity $groupname
  Write-Output "group" + $groupname + "were deleted"

  Write-Output "all groups deleted"

Replace removeAd-group -identity $groupname
 removeAd-group -identity "+ $groupname +"
