25k message limit Outlook?

Just got the phone with Godaddy after a customer who was using IMAP to fetch emails was not getting them

Godaddy says Outlook has a 25K message limit, but if I use a pop account instead of IMAP,it works.

It seems to me it's a Godaddy 25K limit (or maybe IMAP spec).

Any feedback?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I think Godaddy is full of it. Using POP3 simply moves the messages off of their server onto your computer.

Below are GoDaddy limitations:

I don't know of any Outlook IMAP limitations, however, I do know someone using Google via Outlook 2013 IMAP and has about 50,000 messages.  Below is a link from Google:

Have you considered Office 365 where you will not be having issues such as this.  Just for the record, I am not affiliated in any shape or form with Microsoft.

Yup.it's a Godaddy limit,not Outlook.
I thought when he mentioned the 250 sent emails per day  in addition to the 25k ,something was up.
