You should need import rights especially admins can do through dataport.

Since you are end user, ask your developer to provide module to import the excel file to a custom table. The Developer should know what is your requirement so that he can build it properly.

Hi Ganesh,

Admin says he cannot provide access to data tables as there is risk of corrupt file can be imported which will have an impact on the database. is there any way we can automate using a third party tool, which pics data in excel and paste it in to navision
I am not sure how your navision is designed is that having native database or integrated with SQL server 2008 / 2012. If it is native database then you cannot do the import without dataport / xmlport. But if you have SQL server as a backend for Navision then you can ask your admin to create separate table on the navision database and you can do the import and he can design the report and provide whatever you want. While using SQL server you can use SQL query statement to import the excel file / txt / csv file to table.

but is there no way i can use any third party tool to read ui elment and automate?
Without permission on SQL server or native database you cannot do anything, the Navision has tight security model either in native or when used with SQL server. You need to have proper credential to do that so. Since the question you ask is looking for security flaw which is not there with Native Database and in SQL.

If you want to use MS Access then it is easy to import and export report.
