Excel 2013 slow filtering

I have a computer that has an i7 processor (4th generation), 8GB of RAM and an SSD drive.

Excel 2013 is very, very slow with apply a filter and unfiltering.

I've tried the filtering and unfiltering the same spreadsheet on machines with much lower specs and it works much faster.

On this same machine, I've installed Excel 2010 and using the same spreadsheet it filers and unfilters in seconds, vs 3+ minutes.

I've uninstalled, reinstalled, installed Excel 2016 and all of these come up with the same slow results.

I've set the computer to optimize for program performance.  I also changed the advanced display feature in Excel to "Disable hardware graphics acceleration", removed the check for "Automatically Flash Fill".

I've tried so many things and it just isn't working correctly on this computer.  I know it's not the spreadsheet because the sheet filters fine on other computers.  and Excel 2010 works great on this computer.

My paging file is set to manual.  with 8GB as the min and 16 as the max.

I've tried setting this to different settings and it doesn't make a difference.
Have you tried copying the sheet into a blank workbook and filtering it there? Does it have the same slowness?

I put the hard drive in another machine and it works perfectly.  I think the problem has to do with the graphics processor or some hardware in the laptop.  Its unfortunate because it's a brand new laptop that is super fast with everything but excel.
Then in this case, if your laptop is new then it is still under warranty you can claim maybe defective hardware at the Laptop store ?

gowflow, I think this is a bug in excel with some certain driver/graphics controller conflict.  Since Excel 2010 works fine and fast I doubt it's the PC.  I've tried several PC's around the office now with different results.  I think this is an excel problem that needs to be fixed.
