Printer with bluetooth? Is there such a thing?

I am looking for a color laser printer for SOHO use to which I can print emails, pictures, web pages, etc. via bluetooth, directly from an Android phone without the need for a network (wireless or wired) of any kind.  Does such a thing exist?  If so, what's the make and model #?

Thanks!

But can you print directly from the phone?  Is there an app with a driver built in, for example?

I have an HP 8610 that has Wi-Fi and AirPrint and my iPhone prints directly to the HP printer over Wi-Fi. The AirPrint feature is what you need more than Bluetooth, and lots of newer, decent printers come with AirPrint (or their name for it).

Right, but they all require WiFi.  I need to go directly from the phone to the printer without WiFi.

Look for the printer models with the NFC label and you can pair with the printer via NFC (actally if is just like bluetooth connection behind without the hassle of entering PIN for Bluetooth and you need to enable bluetooth in your phone also to make NFC works.)
The technology of NFC is similar to bluetooth but not exactly the same as you do not need to select and send a file to be printed via bluetooth. Instead, you need to enable NFC and put your phone near to the NFC reader of the printer and an app for the printer will be launched and you will be asked what files you want to print.

I do not have such a printer as they are not entry level models and nearly all big players like HP, Canon, Brother and Epson have similar offerings for NFC enabled printers.

Thanks, that's a good idea... but the Android phone involved doesn't have NFC.  :-(

Why can you not use Wi-Fi?  Easy to implement in almost any local location that has a network, easy to secure, and makes your job a whole lot easier.
akahanAuthor Commented:
There is no network.   I'm not asking for solutions like "why don't you do this instead?"  I'm asking if I can do what I want to do, which is find a printer to which I can print directly using bluetooth.
JohnBusiness Consultant (Owner)Commented:
Thanks for the clarification on the network.

Actually, you do not need any network if the printer can be reached via wifi direct technology.

Therefore, alternatively you can find a printer whIch supports wifi direct.

I wasn't able to find EXACTLY what I wanted (printing via bluetooth), but WiFi direct came closest.  Thanks!
