I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

which printer/copier are you currently using.
Other than the dimensions what are your other requirements?
For 700$ you can buy full MFD scanner/printer/copier with warranty extension.
@gheist but that won't last long at 1000 pages per day. For that I would want to see a machine with a duty cycle of at least 50,000 pages per month, preferably 100,000. Printers do not last very long if you run them at their maximum duty cycle. Also, in many cases the printer is only spec'd for something like 6 times the duty cycle. With a duty cycle of 50,000 pages that means a total of 300,000 pages. At 1000 pages per day you will exceed that in a year, and the manufacturer may not honour the warranty. This may not happen often, but it can.

I think we need more details about the copier you want. Does it need to be a printer/scanner as well? Do you need duplexing? How many trays do you need? What's the budget? Have a look at the Xerox range of copiers. They can be purchased, or rented.

What I was saying that whatever the printer a common MFD will pay off if it lasts over a month over current costs.
Say low end ones will be 20k pages/month (too little) going to 200k pages/month for middle ranges (and you get that warranty replacement for any item with warranty, even when you dont pay single pages)
What is the issue with the existing copiers that you are trying to cure?
Lower cost for more is taken as given.
Other than copy what else does it have to gave.
I.e. If it is solely used to copy, the feeder, collation, staple, etc.
