Exchange - not enough rights

Hi guys,

I've given rights to our Administrator, however it doesn't seem to be enough. He's unable to remove people from groups etc. I want him to have full rights. I've given him Organization Management, Schema Admins and Enterprise Admins.

Is there anything missing from the rights which I could add in there?

Cheers

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Administrator and Exchange Administrator will give him full rights.

Supposing you are not using RBAC, adding to Organization Management and domain admin must be enough. Could you ensure your admin has this permissions?

It is always a good idea to leave Schema admins empty and add user accounts to this group when they are actually being used.

Org Management is all that is needed from and Exchange Perspective. Enterprise/Domain and Schema relate specifically to Active Directory not Exchange.

But if you want AD and Exchange add the user to
Domain Admins
Enterprise Admins
Org Management for Exchange

In later versions of Exchange you still need to provide some other permissions like the "Import Export" Role Group with will allow youto Export Mailboxes from the Exchange environment. Org Management will not allow you to do this.
