"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Small and big resolutions make your layout way out of whack. I suggest that you apply fullscreen CSS for each of your 100% width items and use responsive grids for the remainder of the elements that are non-full-width. Zerb Foundation comes to mind

In you base.css sheet; Follwing is maximum size set:
/* 1280 Screens */
@media (min-width: 1240px)
.container {
  width: 1170px;
}

You can increase the size check with following snippet adding under the above code like following;
/* 1280 Screens */
@media (min-width: 1240px)
.container {
  width: 1170px;
}
/* 1600 Screens */
@media (min-width: 1580px)
.container {
  width: 1500px;
}

/* 1920 Screens */
@media (min-width: 1900px)
.container {
  width: 1850px;
}
