virus help asap please

Hi,

I found the attached on a workstation after they received a spoofed email (sending one to themselves) I took off the virus and changed the password. If I used a different password to download the apps to scan for viruses should I be worried?

TIA

I wouldn't be.  Did you remove any found viruses?  Worst case scenario, change the password again after you are sure it is clean.

Did you run malwarebytes in safe mode? Viruses like to hide behind processes.

No the pc is off until Sunday. . But are you sure I shouldn't be afraid about the admin password I put in before?

FOXActive Directory/Exchange EngineerCommented:
No, and you can always change it again.  Sunday, while disconnected from the internet or any network, run the scan again in safe mode.  Once it comes up clean, change the password again and you should be fine.  When you say you used a different password to download and scan the machine, are you talking about a domain admin password?  Next time download the virus tools from a clean machine, put them on a usb stick and then launch them.
