Restored Exchange database- only systemmailbox visible

I have restored an exchange database from backup, as a recovery database. Got it "clean", and successfully mounted. But when i enter get-mailboxstatistics -database RDB I only see the SystemMailbox{6f65..., Item count 1.
How do I get all the other mailboxes visible?

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

If you are specifically pointing the -Database when executing get-mailboxstatistics the information that it shows is from the file it self. If it doesn't show the users it points that they are not there. You are using the correct procedure.

What is the size for your .edb file?

Validate that the RDB is using the restored files from your backup and not that they are in a different path and the system just created a new empty DB.

Ah, I'm a dummy. Yeah it created another db somewhere else and that is what it was pulling. Got it now.
