Replicate Files from a Pervasive Database using DFS
Hello,
We use a program (AOD Software, aodsoftware.com) that stores data in a Pervasive database. When moving to a new server, we simply have to copy a shared folder to the new server and install the Pervasive engine, and the program just works. We were hoping to use DFS replication to keep a copy of all files consistently updated on a backup server. This way, if anything would happen to the main server, we could get a backup up and running very quickly. However, when we tried DFS, the program would freeze up and kick users off randomly. When we turned off DFS replication, the program worked as normal.
Is there any way to get DFS to copy these files without impacting our program? Is there another solution that would allow continual backup of any changed files? We are currently using Server 2012 and Pervasive 11.
Thanks for your help.
