Meraki Cisco MR 18

Dear All

I hope your all doing well, I need some advice one what the best practice would be for the below:

I have one site that will require 2x MR18's one on either side of the floor, these will provide the wireless but I  want to know what the best way would to configure these. I was considering to naming the SSID's the same , channels the same. So that when users move around they connect to the best connection.

I would like to know what you think so I can make an informed choice,.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

For Meraki you make a network on the cloud control panel and add your ssid(s) to the network. Then you add access points to the network. You don't need to manually set per AP ssid or channels.

Arron is correct,

Set up and account on the Meraki Website
Then add these Access points by serial number (it's on the back) or by order number.
You then setup the SSID in the portal and within 10 minutes your Access points will configure themselves accordingly. (its usually quicker, but Ive noticed take a little longer recently).
