learning the language is easy.. learning the programming mindset is difficult. You require a lot of attention to detail and sometimes it requires a lot of coding to get from what you see in your mind to what is attainable on the screen. Each platform has its strengths and weaknesses and a preferred way of doing something. &nbsp;I'd start with javascript but you eventually will have to learn C or C++ and how to read each manufacturers documentation on the API calls available for you.

Look at Meteor. &nbsp;It is a full-stack (MEAN) installation. &nbsp;You write all client and server code in JavaScript. &nbsp;You can create smart-phone applications as well as I/O to web browsers.
