How to get a macro to loop through a folder to remove buttons from .xlsm spreadsheets and save them as .xlsx?

I have a macro that loops through a folder and removes buttons then saves the workbook as a .xslx file, but I get this error:

Run-time error '1004':
You cannot save this workbook with the same name as another open workbook or add-in. Choose a different name, or close the other workbook or add-in before saving.

Several changes.
The loop did not get another file in the folder to process.
The workbook must be closed after save, but not saved when button delete is incomplete.
A button on the sheet is a Shape, but a chart is also a Shape, and that should not be deleted.
No need to loop to check 10000 non existing sheets, just the sheets in the workbook.
Shapes are drawing objects, not sheet content.

Without folder specification the files are saved in the folder where the last file was opened.
Added a folder below the folder with the files, named "xlsx files", and there the files are saved.

Not processed files are listed on the sheet "Not processed"
