Auto Extract File Attachments from Exchange EMail Account

Looking for a solution that supports the following:

Multiple users EMail the same Exchange 2010 EMail User and attach files.

Need the Server or some other device to be able to auto extract any attached files and place them in a specific directory on File Server.

Any suggestions appreciated!

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You can accomplish this (somewhat) through powershell. However the attachments will be placed in to either a PST file or a mailbox that you select. It is not a clean approach where you can simply remove attachements and place them on a file server.

You can then use the scheduled task to automate this and run it nightly. See the link below for steps.

Thanks for the reply, Will.  I'll take a look at the PowerShell option.

I also found a third party package that will do this either at the Exchange Server level or the Outlook level.  I'm going to take a look at that, as well.

Between these two options, I'm sure I'll find a usable solution.
