How to exclude a network share from MS end point scanning

How can I exclude a network storage location from scanning? Now this share doesn't have a mapped drive to it.

How can I exclude everything that isn't local drive? I only want to scan local drives, we have files on shares that are accessed and not mapped.

Possible to exclude a unc path?

We are using sccm 2012.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

What about real time scanning? Not just full scan, I need to exclude network unc paths with files when they are access in real time.

You cannot exclude whole network share. You can mount it to a drive letter and exclude the drive letter or you can exclude files or file types.
