Outlook Signatures

Hi Guys,

I am looking for a practical method to implement global signatures for all Outlook users in our organisation.

We are currently using the disclaimer option in Microsoft Exchange 2013, and works very well with available variables from AD, etc.

Two problems we face with the current method:
1.  The signature does not show up in Outlook (before sending), so that user can't be assured that it was included.
2.  The individual signatures are compiled with our company logo and HTML text, thus the mail recipient have the option to right-click on the logo and save it to their logo hard drive.   Management has a problem with the former and would like to have the complete signature in a single image file.
* Yes, the end user would be able to cut the logo from the signature image, but this is how management wants it be ;-)

- Is there a way to force an Outlook signature (an image file per user) from Group Policy?    It will be necessary to create an image file (with all user particulars) for each user in AD.
- Any other 3rd options (tried and tested) available to do this?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

In your experience, to what level can an Outlook signature be made "tamper proof"?
Thus, prevent recipient from saving or editing the signature?
This software resides on the server, so the templates reside there and can only be edited by authorised members
Use Exclaimer.

Very effective and manageable, will take the attributes from AD, if integrated.Good support also for any issues related. We are using it for last one year.

Simplify Active Directory Administration

Administration of Active Directory does not have to be hard.  Too often what should be a simple task is made more difficult than it needs to be.The solution?  Hyena from SystemTools Software.  With ease-of-use as well as powerful importing and bulk updating capabilities.

something strang going on with the posts, as my original reply is now at the bottom ;-)
Hi we use Exclaimer. This is a really good piece of sofware and highly configurable, and intergatetes with AD

Hi Rupert,

Here's an articles comparing CodeTwo's and Exclaimer's email signature management solutions: http://www.rodin.com.au/bring-order-to-the-chaos-of-email-signatures/

And if you would like to have a look at solutions beyond CodeTwo + Exclaimer, check out this list: http://www.slipstick.com/addins/disclaimer-signature-tools-for-exchange-server/

All the best,

These steps are for adding an image as a Signature for outlook via Group Policy.

you have to copy two files (logon script) in %userprofile%\appdata\roaming\microsoft\Signature
Test.htm and Test.jgp
where Test.jpg is the image and Test.htm is HTML code with the image in it.

in GPP > User Configuration > preferences > windows settings > registry
you have to add two registry keys in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\x.0\Common\MailSettings
where x.0 is the version
Outlook 2016 = 16.0
Outlook 2013 = 15.0
Outlook 2010 = 14.0
Outlook 2007 = 12.0
