Software Updater issue in Ubuntu

Hello!

I use Ubuntu 14.04 Desktop Edition. I installed Unity Tweak Tool. Now I see Software Updater's message that it must be updated.
It's all nice, BUT... Then I get a message that it requires installation of untrusted packages from unauthenticated sources.
What's going on here?

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

It gets stranger by the minute. I'd initiated Software Updater, but it just found "Ubuntu base" updates and successfully installed them.
No mention of Unity Tweak tool. See, before that I didn't initiate the update. It'd started by itself. So... I don't know.

look in /etc/repos.d
When you installed the unity UI, it may have added additional repositories that are "unauthenticated" by ubuntu. did you run any command that "authenticated" by adding the new repos certificate to the repository/key chain to make it trusted?

Hello and thanks for your reply!

I actually didn't install Unity. It came with the OS when I first installed it. And I didn't do what you're asking (frankly, I have no idea what you're talking about).
O.K. I ran again today Software Updater, it still doesn't say anything about the Unity Tweak Tool.
I'll grant you points for now and if and when the issue arises anew, I'll come back here for an answer.
