Hyper-V Template

Hello Experts,

I was successful creating a VM machine in Hyper V that has windows server 2012. I would like to create a template from this server as a standard. Is there a easy way to do that?

I will need to transfer the disk file to a usb and hand it over to a technician.

Thanks.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Common practice,
you can also do the same by copying VHD into USB and ask your technician to create a new Virtual Machine in another Hyper-V Host and copy that VHD from USB to local drive then attach it with the new VM.

You can use it as same as it is just keep the vhd with you
and for each new VM just do sysprep Command to change sid otherwize you will have authentication problems with AD
