I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Installation Methods

Kaspersky Administration Kit supports three installation methods:
##Using Windows (via RPC)
##Using login scripts
##Using Network Agents

The first method is suitable for all NT-based operating systems and therefore for all Windows server OS. The second method is intended for computers which are members of a domain. The third one is ideally suited for computers that are already connected to an Administration Server.

I have just finished a project rolling out Kaspersky to 1000+ clients and 100+ servers and the biggest lessons learnt I would share with you is to ensure you spend some time creating exception policies for your server estate before rolling out en-mass. My advice -  review Microsoft's recommended AV exclusions per OS and create baseline policies off this then copy these and create per function policies eg SQL, Exchange, Web (IIS) etc. Rolling AV out en-mass without the correct planning could cause many things to grind to a halt

Hope this helps and good luck!

I am happy to know someone has deployed it. I am still in my initial phase so I am learning about it.

What module did you use from Kaspersky for the clients and server? We also have a virtualized environment

I am using Kaspersky for years with minimum issues & have experience with other products too. it has many customization while other products do not. I am using virtualized security center server.

product Kaspersky Endpoint Security for business select advance comes with encryption module.
but still there are some issues with UEFI boot if you use full disk encryption.
when you install Kaspersky security center server, I suggest to go with MYSQL which has huge performance difference than using MSSQL.

deployment is not hard once you configure the console. it is very smooth if you have domain controller.
