Windows 10 offer
I have HP Laptops and when I rebuild a machine using the re-install windows 7 discs and install updates, then the Windows 10 free offer appears and I can upgrade.
If I do not upgrade and continue to build the system which includes joining it to a domain, renaming, etc. Now the win10 icon goes away.
Anyway to get it back and upgrade from there ?

Removing machines from the domain can cause problems when re-adding. For example software installation policies are re-applied and some softwares don't like being re-installed (example: sun java jre 1.6_30).
That's why for the upgrade you shouldn't disjoin the domain. Simply download the media creation tool, download the ISO file with it and that's all.

I have tried that, but after the install it won't activate with the OEM license number.
I am doing something wrong.?

Yes you are, I am afraid. OEM is entitled to upgrade, simply do an upgrade installation, not a clean installation. The next windows build might offer what you tried: directly entering the win7/8.1 key and installing 10 clean. The latest insider build had that functionality.

Ah yes you are right, I was trying a clean install with the ISO.
I'll give it another try. Thanks
