I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

As I mentioned in the other thread, make sure the app compiles cleanly without errors.

Since a ACCDE has all the source code stripped out, it must compile completely in order to convert.

Also be *sure* to keep a copy of the original in a safe place.   You cannot modify a accde once created.

In response to Jim, the application has only 1 command button that has custom code that imports a file and then updates the database.  Unless clicked on that button, nothing happens on the Form.  all the others are command buttons like for Edit, Add records or Delete records.  As this is a test db, to add more functionality thus it has only the basic items an code.  Thus, I doubt the errors are in the db file.

Doesn't hurt to check and 90% of the time, that's the problem in creating a accde.

If it does compile cleanly, then do a compact & repair.

If it still doesn't convert to a accde, then the VBA project may be corrupt and you'll need to use /decompile.
