Adding server 2012 R2 as a DC and got an error"One or more prerequisites failed. Please fix these issues and click "Rerun prerequisites check""
Trying to add this 2012 R2 server as a DC into a 2003 domain, and got an error "One or more prerequisites failed. Please fix these issues and click "Rerun prerequisites check""
When I clicked "Rerun prerequisites check", it just appeared the same result again and again. I hope there is a log to know what prerequisite is not right. Where to find the log? Please help.

As stated if your domain is 2003 then you also need to raise the forest to 2003 as well. At this point you will be able to promote your 2012 R2 server as a DC.

Thank you all you guys. After I rebooted and run again, it passed the check and completed the AD DS set up.

The function level has been on 2003 already.
I have a similar issue. I tried to upgrade from windows 7 to windows server 2012. I get a message that upgrading is not possible from windows 7 so, I select the other option. After installing the windows server 2012, and the AD DS , I tried to promote it to domain controller but I receive the same message.
