Adding another network card to send email throught another network

We need to send emails from an application in a server  that it is not connected to the internet  or any other network. The network of this server is /24 (first network card). This server has another network card.  We thougth of configuring the second network card  and connect it to a network ( that has a path to send emails. The network does not route and we can't change it. By configuring the second network card can the application  send emails through the second network? can this work?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

yes, that should be able to work. setup the routes so that the app server can resolve either the DNS or use a relay that it knows about there should be no issues. make sure that DNS for the internal mail is still pointing to the 192.168.0/24 network or it may try and send everything external
