"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Can you open the log file and see what error you are getting? If possible attach the error log.

I suggest you download and run the .NET Framework verification tool:

http://blogs.msdn.com/b/astebner/archive/2008/10/13/8999004.aspx

.NET is now up to V4.6 . Test each level with the above tool, close out, restart and test.

You can remove .NET Framework from Programs and Features, Windows Features. Close out and run System File Checker from an admin command prompt:  SFC /SCANNOW.  Close out when done, restart, and add .NET Framework back again.
