Office 365 - DirSync

We are using MS FIM 2010 v4.3.702.0.
Right now we do not want to upgrade to the newest version.
We sync our on-premises AD to the cloud O365.
We do not want to synchronize users who are disabled.

Is there anyway to specify a specific attribute not to sync users who are 'disabled' in FIM?

Note:  we do not want to create a different OU, and exclude that from synchronizing.

We have all users active/disabled in one OU and we would like to keep it that way.

thanks

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.
