Yes. I am not sure if it is possible to get the virus. I'd like to test to see if it is really working :)
Of course it is working, without a doubt. No big science about it. The gangsters were caught and the keys were found, those keys do the job, not Kaspersky ;-)
If you found that virus and infected yourself, a new key would get generated and uploaded to some (now) non-existent server. No way that decryptor tool would work.
