Server 2012

Is there any way we can disable Point and Print?    I have disabled easy print thru group policy.   I DO NOT want Microsoft dictating what driver is used when we are using printer redirect.    In the past with Server 2008 we didn't have issues.     With it adding the point and print driver, this is not compatible with a couple of our business software programs.

I just want the redirects of that printer, to keeps the original driver.

I researched the issue further and found that GP would not prevent the point and print driver from applying in printer redirect.    I also found the if you used Type 3 drivers, this would also prevent this behavior.
