webmail to office 365

Currently we have webmail through web.com and we have about 50 users on there. web.com also hosts our business domain. we are planning on moving to office 365 Business Premium class E3 for email encryption. but in the meantime we would like to have only 5 webmail moved to office 365.  is there a way to move the 5 accounts and have the same email as name@companynamedomain.com but also keep the current users to use webmail only.

in other words have name@companynamedomain.com hosted on 365. and name@domain.com hosted on web.com?

we need the ability to share calendars and also have encryption as this is a Healthcare facility so we are required to have email encryption.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You could keep all inbound email pointed at web.com, then just setup a fowarder to the .onmicrosoft.com email address for everyone you're moving first.  For instance if an email is sent to joe@domain.com:

Web.com                                    Office365
joe@domain.com -------------> joe@domain.onmicrosoft.com

Thank you Keyser,

totally forgot about forwarding the emails, was concentrating on collaboration and calendar sharing.

Glad I could help.  Migrating from hosted to hosted can be frustrating.  The good news is Microsoft by far allows the most amount of administrative access to the Exchange servers they're hosting.  Via con Dios, amigo.
