vSphere web client 5.1 U1 - Content was blocked because it was not signed by a valid security certificate. ?

people,

I'm using the vSphere web client but some of the tab or snapins displaying the below error:

User generated image

Isthat the fault of the PureStorage vendor add-ons or it is VCenter 5.1 U1 bug / issue ?

I've already clicked on the browser [Certificate Error] button and then install the self signed SSL certificate in the PC I'm opening vSphere Web client, but still the address bar is highlighted in red and the PureStorage snapins cannot be opened in my IE v11.

ok, hopefully the problem goes away when I upgrade it to vSPhere 5.5 Update 3.
Make sure you go to 3a, there is a serious snapshot bug in 3!
ok, 3A is the latest release right ?

So is there anything that I need to know or any caveats to be aware of ?
Correct at this date in posting (19th Nov 2015).

Backup VMs before any change to production Servers!

Check ALL Hardware is on the HCL, and Update Firmware of servers!

use the OEM version if branded server, e.g. Dell, IBM, HP etc
Have you encounter any issue before when upgrading / updating HP Blade firmware before the ESXi 5.5 Upgrade ?
ThanksAndrew, so what was the biggest challenging one ?
bricked blades! when the firmware process hung!
Geez, that's scary..

I only hope that when I insert the HP SPP 2015.10 ISO from iLO, I can then just do the Automatic Upgrade for all components.

Is that the right approach for all of the HP Blades in the c7000 chassis ?

I bet that the HP Virtual Connect is the most difficult ones to be updated which can cause downtime and lost of configuration.
Yes, that is the correct approach.

Just make sure you have a plan.
many thanks for the sharing Andrew.
