"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I would uninstall all Java and get the latest JDK. Make sure you get a 64 bit one if you have a 64 bit processor

Agree - the command you show works fine on my system.

If you upgraded Java recently, there may be more than one version installed. Java 8 left Java 7 behind. So (agreeing with the above) uninstall all versions and start again.
