I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I believe that is not possible due to Database Prerequisites/Create the deployment database from https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn744281.aspx however Microsoft recommends "...since the deployment database isn’t big, even in large enterprise environments, we recommend using the free SQL Server 2012 SP1 Express database in your environment."

Well that's disappointing because it's not so much the DBMS itself but I have a web application in Azure that I would like to be able to talk to the MDT database to drive automation elements.
