Windows 10 reports as Vista in WSUS - 2008 R2

In my home environment, I'm running 2008 R2 with WSUS. I've just added my first Win10 client to the domain but it's reporting to WSUS as Windows Vista. I've found details about running a SQL script to update this and tweaking GPO WMI filter, but not 100% sure on the best way to apply this as the guidance I've found relates to 2012/2012R2 before the hotfix for those platforms was released.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

The sql update script works well and is as of now still required.

And just to clarify: this is uncritical. The client does not report as vista but the server interprets it wrong. So the client does not look for updates for vista (which would be not so good ;-) ), but gets the correct updates anyway. So the change (though it will work) is only cosmetic.

Believe I need to run this in SQL Management Studio - what's the best version to use if my WSUS is running on an "internal database" instance? I've got 80 & 90 subfolders within SQL program files directory.

That hotfix only applies to 2012/2012R2, not 2008R2?

Not had the chance to try this yet but taking at face value that it will work rather than leaving question open for an extended period of time.
