Update Session variable in C#

Hello Experts,
I want to update a Session variable when it is blank or null.  I am using the below statement.  But it is updated every time on page load.  Does not matter if the IsPostBack is True or False.  Any idea what is wrong here?  Thank you in advance.

if (Session["OrgId"] == "" || Session["OrgId"] == "NULL")
{
    Session["OrgId"] = drpId.SelectedValue;
}

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

null is a special keyword in C#, and C# is case-sensitive:

 if (Session["OrgId"] == "" || Session["OrgId"] == null)

Try this
if (String.IsNullOrEmpty(Session["OrgId"].ToString()))
{
         Session["OrgId"] = drpId.SelectedValue;
 }
