Exchange Journal Mailbox is HUGE

The environ is a school district in Texas - a LARGE school district - and we journal EVERYTHING in and out through the Exchange 2013 mail server.

I just noticed that the mail box size is 86 gigs!  That seems huge to me.

At what point should I create a second Journal mailbox and send everything there?  I mean I can't let this thing grow forever.  What's the best way to handle this?

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

If I were you I would create another database that has a significant amount of storage that can handle the journaling then move the journaling mailbox over to that database.

It would still be a single mailbox though.

I just logged in and looked and it's already in a separate database
