How to Connect Windows IIS Servers wtih SQL Database
Users will access a web site to access reports on a SQL data base.
I'm looking for some direction on how to implement a web server and and SQL database. In terms of security and manageability what is the best practice? Should they exist in a Active Directory or as stand alone servers in a work group? Is it best to put the web servers in a DMZ zone or can they exist in the same zone?

by "reports on a SQL database" , do you mean SQL Server Reporting Services reports? If not, can you explain a little more about these reports? Are they files stored in SQL? Queries that will return data from SQL? or ???
