Office 365 Sharepoint Task Alerts

If someone is receiving Sharepoint email alerts with the Subject: Tasks - Please approve, is there a way to stop the alerts? I have checked in User Alerts under Site Administration and they are not listed there. I'm also not sure if it's because they are part of a certain group. They also have Edit access.

this is not an "Alert" but a notification. There is (at least) one list/library/content type which has an approval workflow associated.

You should be able to find the workflow under "Site Settings" -> "Site Administration" -> "Workflow Settings".

And I guess that the SharePoint group is set as the "Approvers" hence each member gets an email.

I checked Workflow Settings and there are no workflows. Also the user isn't a member of the Approver's group. Could it be that they have their own notifications set under their Office 365 login?

sorry, wrong link. That will only show "Site Workflows" and not workflows on a document library / list.

In one of the task approval mails, you should be able to get the link to the item which has to be approved. Then you can review the workflow configuration for that list/library.
