Can someone give me explicit directions on how to enable TLS 1.2 on Windows 2008 Enterprise Server R2?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I have a .reg file that not only enables TLS 1.2 but disables SSL 2 and SSL3... You can remove the parts you don't need

do i have to reboot when i am done making the changes or will an iisreset work?
Scott SilvaNetwork AdministratorCommented:
I rebooted when I did it, but try a IIs restart. It can't hurt. If your IIs is outside reachable, you can test it here and see...

Use this version. The other one had missing entries and was an earlier test run... The new one just adds the missing entries if you already ran the old one...

I found that utility as well. It says TLS 1.1 and 1.2 are not supported in Wondows 2008 (non R2) and lower. But i am on R2

https://www.catholiccharitiesrgv.org/donations.aspx - this site is now working - it was a setting in IIS that was wrong

Both solutions should work, although the latter utility does make it much easier...
