Internal DNS search tools

Are there any tools that allow you to search your own internal DNS servers for entries?

I inherited a DNS that's HUGE and more forward lookup zones than you can imagine and when I'm looking for a record, I'm going thru manually.  I was hoping I could right click on my dns and do a search, but no luck.

Surely someone has a third party tool for this?

Thanks

if you are looking for a record, surely the easiest way would be to try and PING the record in question and you should get a Yes/No which will tell you whether it exists or not.
Hope I understood your questions right?

well sure, but I was looking more for a search tool that might search the entire DNS for various entries, variations of entries, etc.

basically I'm looking for a DNS search tool to search all of DNS versus using an nslookup, which might or might not return a response depending on how the query is typed and whether or not DNS is configured correctly.
