How to setup RMAN on Oracle 11g

I am trying to setup RAM on Oracle 11g. Are there any video tutorials or training ( not expensive ) I can take a look/register online ?.

Thanks.

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Have you tried the documentation?  I usually find it pretty useful.  It isn't going to cover everything, but it should get you started on the simple cases.  You can find the documentation here -> http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11882_01/backup.112/e10642/toc.htm

There is also a section in the 2 Day DBA set that covers backup and recovery here -> http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11882_01/server.112/e10897/backrest.htm#ADMQS091

Manuel, if you can, I recommend you get a "sandbox" set up -- a test / play environment in which to practice.  In addition to the official sources above, I would steer you to the Oracle RMAN material available on youtube.com. Lastly, search on rman blogs to find additional "how-to" stuff on particular issues.  Hope this helps.

I created several Video Micro Tutorials here on EE for RMAN.

They are each only 5 minutes, but touch on the highlights.

Basic RMAN Backup Configuration
Implementing a Backup Strategy with Oracle RMAN
Restore Database from RMAN Backup (Oracle)
Duplicating a Database Using Oracle RMAN

These are very basic, but seeing something in action, while also referencing the above documentation linked in previous answers should help you get a basic understanding of RMAN.

Can't recommend having a sandbox to play in enough!
