Courier BOLD character spacing doesn't match UNBOLD

I want to create what I refer to as a ruler line, as in

DATE               NAME                              ADDRESS
10/05/2004    Joe Blow                          123 Anywyare lane

When I do this in my CRichEditCntl, I get a different pitch for the BOLD lines vs the UNBOLDED lines.  What property would I use to force them to be the same.  I've set yHeight to be the same.

Thanks in advance!

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Use a non-proportional font, such as Consolas.

Interestingly, I had tried both Courier and Lucida Console with no luck.. Consolas worked fine!

I wonder why?
