WIndows 10

After Windows 10 upgrade I keep getting "this menu isn't working. We'll try to fix it next time you sign in" every time I click start menu and does not fix on signing in again or restart.
Few fixes I tried was disabling cortana from registry and it still does not work

Did you upgrade all your drivers and BIOS? Be sure to do this.

Then run DISM (heavy duty repair tool):

Open cmd.exe with Run as Administrator.
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /Scanhealth (takes 15 - 20 minutes). <-- Verification step.
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /Restorehealth (takes 15 - 20 minutes).
Restart the computer and test.

Make sure you install/upgrade the VMware Tools.

Personally I'd just reinstall W10 from scratch. It is simple and fast.

You upgraded the host OS or guest OS to W10?

Try another user profile - can that other user reproduce the problem? No? Then it is no system file corruption and we can skip the repairing.

create new user account does not respond. This is what I tried first to try to test it.

I tried both -

Restart the computer and test.

Same issue persists

You can try the Media Creation link, try to install Windows 10 again and choose the setting to keep applications and data. That may repair the problem.

I will try net user command tonight and see if the issues shows up in new user or not
