Office 2013 Client Issue

I have a number of clients that connect to an exchange 2010. The clients are running both 2010 & 2013 client installations.
The 2013 clients are intermittently not getting past the password prompt. The software I have been told is up to date. If I create a new profile it will generally connect and download as emails straight away, but once completed  the password issue reappears

When does the password prompt window pop-up? the beginning of Outlook launching or Outlook is running?

Locate the outlook icon in the task tray, hold down the control key, right click, go to connection  status can you post the activity here. Please also capture the windows of password prompt and post here to get the more clue.

In generally, the likely reason why the password prompt for your Exchange account is because you are enable Outlook Anywhere and the authentication settings have been set to Basic Authentication. Unless you can switch to using NTLM Authentication.

Another reason for this issue is because the Outlook setting is changed after upgrade. Please check the setting as the following screenshot:

Are the profiles being created using autodiscover or manually, if auto discover, please try and create a new profile manually.

Hi David

I have created the profile manually and it connects straight away. The issue then starts the next day as the client can't connect after that. The password prompt is at start up and the client won't connect to the exchange server

I suspect autodiscover is actually the issue here, please post a screenshot of the following items;

-Outlook connection status as previously described]
-Outlook security settings as previously described
-Outlook proxy server settings.
