You mean, the AD account is dead, but the mailbox still exists....<br />
The way is usually in the other order, you remove the mailbox and then you remove the user from AD. <br />

You can create a new AD account and assign the old mailbox to this new user.<br />
Logon as this user and open the Mailbox (Outlook) and delete, what you want to delete.

We have exch 2013 and have a user who's account has been deleted from AD and exch but we need to delete recurring calendar items that this user setup before they left the company.<br />
