How to Remove Specific Recurring Items from Terminated User Calendar Exch 2013?

We have exch 2013 and have a user who's account has been deleted from AD and exch but we need to delete recurring calendar items that this user setup before they left the company.
Is there a way to do this by running commands from say like exch mgmt. shell?

You mean, the AD account is dead, but the mailbox still exists....
The way is usually in the other order, you remove the mailbox and then you remove the user from AD.

You can create a new AD account and assign the old mailbox to this new user.
Logon as this user and open the Mailbox (Outlook) and delete, what you want to delete.

No everything was deleted for the user. The AD account and the exch account..
Not quite sure how items (calendar items) can survive if the mailbox is deleted.
Possibly these items are connected to other mailboxes, which still exist? (so people are invited but not the owner of the item)?
