Windows 10 file sharing

I can't get access a Windows 10 computer's shared folder

The folder is shared with everyone

The network board's network sharing property is activated

the firewall is switched off

Don't switch off the Firewall. Configure an exception on port 445 (smb file sharing) for IPs that you know (or for all IPs, if you like) and that's all you need to do. Switching it off can have these effect, no kidding.

it was an old version of Avast (AV only) that was preventing file sharing
once uninstalled the shared folder was visible
