Microsoft Office 365 Business Install Question

Is there any way I can download and install Office 365 Business without signing into it with my own account?

I ask as I have joined a company and they use Office 265, I have never used it before and need to install several PC's and don't want to wait until the user joins to install Office 365?

I don't need to use it until I create the user account when they join.

You only need to sign in when activating it. Download it using the portal or the ODT, install it and leave it for the user to activate.

If you plant to install it on more than a handful of PCs, look at the ODT documentation: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj219423.aspx

Hi I agree with Vasil, on the other hand you will experience inconvenience when installing an application server. Ik that case I had to buy a single license with media kit because Office 365 allows you to logon using an existing open license installation but does not allow you to install using the Install from the Office 365 portal.

Thanks team, that's great, however I can only find the Office 2013 ODT link.

Ideally I would just create a share and do it from there.

Hi Mat,

For as far as I know Office 365 is a "click to run" installation. It is ONLY available as the installer stub that downloads the rest of the installation from the internet. To implement it your way I guess you have to get yourself an open license of Office 2013/2016 in order to get an msi for the silent installation. Simular to the way I implemented it on a Terminal server (RDP).

Regards,
Rodney

ODT allows you to download the source files (run setup /download), then you can stream it from a file share instead of the Internet (setup /configure). (Or you can transfer the source files to the local machine(s) for installation like you typically would.)
