PHP Query Issue No Results

I have a simple Queery
SELECT * FROM data WHERE field_one = 'Data';

Open in new window

I have Six (6) entries in my DB with the entry Data and when I run that query, it says there are no results.
When I run:
SELECT * FROM data WHERE field_one = 'More Data';

Open in new window

I have 10 entries with "More Data" in the field and it says there are only  7 results.
Why would the query not return all of the results?

If you are running this query using php code, then you can try mysql_escape_string function for the variable. And if you are running this query directly on mysql you can check for the spaces in the text and rows of the field.

I have checked for spaces.  when I run:
SELECT * FROM data WHERE field_one != '';

Open in new window

It returns everything, so I'm perplexed.
