DFS 2008 r2 Failover
Hello,
I have 3 servers: 1-DC; 2-File server; 3-Replica/Failover File server. I setup DFS-R replication and it was working but when I unplugged my primary File server from the network, failover didn't work. DFS roles\Features are installed on all 3 servers.
I also tried to create replication in DFS-N and that didn't work. I need help to understand what am I doing wrong.
Thank you in advance,
sw

I experienced this same thing. My issue was that i was to impatient. The fail over did in fact work but the referral rate was set for an hour so it did not refresh the dns path until then. You can try changing the referral rate to a lower number (For testing i set mine to 30sec)
